Overview
Fourier Intelligence launched the N1 on 11 April 2025 as the company's first fully open-source humanoid, publishing the complete bill of materials, CAD/STEP files, assembly instructions and base operating software on GitHub under its Nexus open-source ecosystem. The compact 1.3 m, 38 kg robot has 23 degrees of freedom driven by Fourier's self-developed FSA 2.0 integrated actuators, runs at up to 3.5 m/s, and its swappable back-mounted battery supports over 2 hours of continuous operation, validated by 1,000+ hours of outdoor testing. Built from aluminum alloy and engineering plastics, it targets developers, universities and research labs alongside Fourier's commercial GR-series humanoids.
