Overview

HMND 01 was unveiled in February 2025 by London-based startup Humanoid, founded in 2024 by Artem Sokolov, as a modular general-purpose robot in bipedal and wheeled configurations for warehouses and manufacturing. The bipedal version targets 175 cm and 70 kg with a 1.5 m/s walking speed, roughly four-hour runtime and 41 degrees of freedom. Founder Sokolov has told Reuters the company holds about 34,000 preorders, and in May 2026 Humanoid named Bosch its contract manufacturer for Europe, with Schaeffler supplying components after a March 2026 proof of concept at a Bosch logistics site; Beta units roll out at Schaeffler sites in late 2026 ahead of mass production targeted for 2028.
