Overview

The iCub is a one-metre-tall open-source humanoid research platform developed by the Italian Institute of Technology, with 53 actuated degrees of freedom and the proportions of a small child. Around 30 units exist in laboratories, mostly in Europe, at a cost of roughly €250,000 each.
